Glyph of Reincarnation
Instant
Cast this spell only after combat.
Destroy all creatures that were blocked by target Wall this turn. They can't be regenerated. For each creature that died this way, put a creature card from the graveyard of the player who controlled that creature the last time it became blocked by that Wall onto the battlefield under its owner's control.

Glyph of Reincarnation wipes an entire attacking force and replaces every creature it kills with a 1/1 green Insect token under your control — a board swing that's almost impossible to replicate at one mana. The catch is hard: it only triggers on damage dealt by a Wall, so it's dead without one in play.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Glyph of Reincarnation is a Commander card almost exclusively — the Wall requirement is too narrow for Legacy or Vintage, where the tempo cost of setting it up outweighs any blowout potential. In Commander, token-generating Walls like Overgrown Battlement and Arcades, the Strategist build around exactly this kind of payoff, making the setup feel natural rather than forced. Pauper lists a legal printing, but the card sees essentially no play there; combat tricks that require a Wall to connect don't survive the format's efficient removal suite.

Price Context
Current price
$0.46 bulk tier
At $0.46, Glyph of Reincarnation is firmly bulk — the price reflects its narrow playability, not a lack of raw power. It's not going up, but picking up a copy for a Wall-based Commander deck costs less than a pack of sleeves.
