Fury Storm copies a kicked spell once for each time you've cast it this turn — in the right deck, that's not two copies, that's six, and it ends the game on the spot. The cost is real: it only copies kicked spells, which hard-gates it to dedicated Kicker builds, and Storm-Kiln Artist aside, it doesn't generate value on its own. Extus, Oriq Overlord decks are the natural home, but outside that niche it sits in your hand doing nothing.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy
Extus, Oriq Overlord
Extus, Oriq Overlord's back face, Awaken the Blood Avatar, is a kicked spell by definition — Fury Storm turns a single Awaken activation into a board of hasty 3/6s that close the game immediately. The combination of recasting spells from the graveyard and doubling the payoff is exactly what the engine is built to do.

Ashling, Flame Dancer
Ashling, Flame Dancer rewards casting multiple instants and sorceries in one turn, and Fury Storm slots in as both a payoff and a multiplier — each kicked copy Ashling triggers off pushes her closer to a lethal swing. It shows up in over a quarter of Ashling lists because the spell-doubling ceiling lines up cleanly with her damage-stacking gameplan.

Fury Storm is a Commander card through and through — the political and incremental nature of EDH gives Kicker-centric builds the time and redundancy to assemble the engine it demands. In Legacy and Vintage, where it's technically legal, no competitive shell wants a win-more enchantment that requires a Kicker theme to function; the card simply doesn't exist in those metagames. Commander is where the math works: multiplayer life totals mean you need the burst that Storm-level copying provides, and the format's density of synergy-based commanders creates the homes where Fury Storm is actively broken rather than just playable.

Current price
$3.87 cheap tier
At $3.87, Fury Storm sits at the low end of niche-combo enchantments — affordable enough to slot into any Kicker build without a second thought. Demand is narrow but stable; it's not going lower while Extus, Oriq Overlord and Kicker strategies remain popular, and it's not going higher until a new pushed Kicker commander arrives.
