Commander is where From Beyond earns its slot — a four-mana enchantment that generates a token every upkeep and tutors for any Eldrazi is a perfect fit for a 100-card singleton format that rewards persistent, incremental value. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer it's essentially unplayable competitively; the format speed makes a four-mana do-nothing-the-turn-it-lands enchantment a liability against linear and interactive decks alike.
