Fleeting Flight gives a creature flying and +1/+1 until end of turn for a single blue mana — cheap enough to slip into combat math as a surprise and relevant enough to redirect a key block. Outside of commanders that reuse instant-speed spells repeatedly, like Zethi, Arcane Blademaster, this is a one-shot trick that rarely justifies a deck slot.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy

Zethi, Arcane Blademaster
Zethi, Arcane Blademaster copies attached instants on attack, turning Fleeting Flight's one-time pump into a recurring evasion grant that can make different creatures fly each combat.

Arahbo, the First Fang
Arahbo, the First Fang cares about dealing combat damage with Vampires, and Fleeting Flight punches a blocker out of the way — granting flying to a key attacker clears the path for the life-drain triggers Arahbo needs.

Elenda, Saint of Dusk
Elenda, Saint of Dusk scales on +1/+1 counters, so the temporary buff from Fleeting Flight supplements her growth while flying lets her connect for lifelink damage she'd otherwise have blocked out.

Fleeting Flight is legal everywhere but competes poorly in formats where tempo spells need to do more than give flying until end of turn. In Commander, it only earns a slot in spell-reuse builds — primarily Zethi, Arcane Blademaster shells — where repeated trigger value converts a single mana into consistent evasion. In Pauper and Pioneer, one-mana instants set a high bar and Fleeting Flight doesn't clear it when options like Slip Through Space replace themselves. Standard and Modern have no use for a trick this narrow. The card isn't bad; it's just too situational for most 100-card or 60-card lists to justify the slot.

Price Context
Current price
$0.15 bulk tier
At $0.15, Fleeting Flight sits firmly in bulk territory and will stay there — demand is too narrow to move the price. Pick it up freely if the deck calls for it; there's no cost pressure either way.
