Slip Through Space

In Commander, Slip Through Space punches above its mana cost in any deck that wants to cantrip through a combo turn or push a single threat past a board full of blockers for one mana. Pauper is where it earns a competitive reputation — cheap unblockable effects that draw cards are exactly what tempo and combo decks want in a format with tight resources. In Legacy and Vintage it sees niche play in Delver-style or storm-adjacent lists that want cantrips with a combat upside, though neither format prioritizes it. Modern and Pioneer have enough cheap interaction that a single-target unblockable effect rarely justifies the slot outside of dedicated combo shells. Oathbreaker treats it similarly to Commander — it's a role-player whenever the signature spell or planeswalker wants a fast, clean path through.
