Feldon of the Third Path is a repeatable reanimator stapled to a three-mana legendary — pay two mana at the end step, get a token copy of any creature in your graveyard until end of turn, keep the triggered ability when that token dies. The cost is that the copy disappears at end of turn, so you need to exploit it the same turn it enters; pair him with Combat Celebrant for extra combats or Obeka, Brute Chronologist to skip the end step entirely and keep your token indefinitely.

Commanders with the highest synergy

Obeka, Brute Chronologist
Obeka, Brute Chronologist skips the end step that would exile Feldon of the Third Path's token, turning a temporary copy into a permanent one — that interaction alone explains the 71% inclusion rate.

The Master, Multiplied
The Master, Multiplied creates additional copies of creatures as they enter, so each Feldon of the Third Path activation that produces a token becomes two or more bodies before the end step even arrives.

Brion Stoutarm
Brion Stoutarm flings creatures as a free sacrifice outlet, which means Feldon of the Third Path tokens are fuel — you get the enters-the-battlefield trigger, the attack, and the fling damage before the token would exile itself anyway.

Herigast, Erupting Nullkite
Herigast, Erupting Nullkite cares about creatures entering from graveyards and rewards high-power threats entering repeatedly, making Feldon of the Third Path's ability to recur large creatures every turn a clean engine fit.

Ghired, Conclave Exile
Ghired, Conclave Exile populates token copies of creatures, so the token Feldon of the Third Path creates can be duplicated before it expires — a populated token is not tied to Feldon's end-step exile clause.
Format Analysis

| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Feldon of the Third Path is a Commander card through and through — his power scales with a graveyard stocked over a long game, and the 100-card singleton format gives you ample targets to recur every turn. In Legacy and Vintage, where he's technically legal, a three-mana do-nothing-until-next-turn creature doesn't compete; the formats move too fast and graveyard hate is ubiquitous. Oathbreaker offers a similar long-game environment to Commander and he's legal there, though the 60-card, 20-life format compresses timelines enough that he's a fringe choice at best.
