Duskwielder is a one-mana 1/2 with lifelink and infect — the infect half closes games, the lifelink half keeps you alive while doing it. The cost is that every creature with infect demands removal or a race, so Duskwielder draws attention completely disproportionate to its size.

In Commander, Duskwielder slotts into dedicated infect strategies — Atraxa, Praetors' Voice and Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon builds — where the lifelink matters in four-player games and the 10-poison threshold replaces the 40-life clock. Pauper is where Duskwielder sees the most competitive daylight, fitting into infect aggro shells alongside Glistener Elf and Ichorclaw Myr as a redundant one-drop threat. In Modern and Legacy, infect decks exist but run higher-powered threats; Duskwielder's 1/2 body is too fragile to make the cut over Glistener Elf or Blighted Agent. Pioneer infect is fringe at best, and Duskwielder doesn't change that calculus.

Price Context
Current price
$0.10 bulk tier
At $0.10, Duskwielder is pure bulk — floor pricing for a card with a narrow but real niche. It won't appreciate unless infect becomes a mainstream Commander archetype, so buy copies for the deck you're building today and don't expect any upside.
