Dual Nature hits the board and every creature entering from that point forward gets a free copy — no mana, no activation, just a mirror-image token that vanishes when the original leaves. Six mana is steep, but a single Felidar Guardian trigger off this enchantment is often enough to spiral the game out of reach.
Format Analysis

Commander is where Dual Nature actually lives — the format's high-power creatures and enter-the-battlefield value engines make a symmetrical doubling enchantment genuinely threatening, and six mana is easily reachable by mid-game. The symmetry is the real cost: opponents get the same trigger, so Dual Nature rewards decks that can exploit it faster or protect it better than anyone else at the table. Legacy and Vintage technically allow it, but the card is too slow and too parasitic on creature-heavy strategies to compete in those formats. Oathbreaker is the only other format where it sees any real consideration, and only in creature-dense builds that can close quickly.

$2.12 cheap tier
At $2.12, Dual Nature sits in the cheap tier — appropriate for a card with a narrow home and genuine symmetry risk. The price has room to hold given its unique effect, but don't expect appreciation unless a high-profile combo deck elevates it.
