Crop Rotation card art
Crop Rotation fetches any land — Gaea's Cradle, Dark Depths, Valakut — at instant speed for a single green mana, and the cost is just a land you were already playing. Decks that win through specific utility lands, from Thrasios, Triton Hero // Yoshimaru, Ever Faithful combo piles to land-centric midrange, treat it as a fifth copy of whichever land closes the game.

oathbreaker

Crop Rotation is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, Pauper, and Oathbreaker, and the card does real work in all of them. In Commander it's at its broadest — the utility land toolbox is enormous, and instant-speed tutoring for Cabal Coffers, Gaea's Cradle, or Maze of Ith covers virtually any game plan. In Legacy it's a compact engine piece, most famously powering Dark Depths plus Thespian's Stage into a 20/20 on turn one or two. Pauper limits it to commons-legal lands, but fetchable utility still exists — Khalni Garden, Snow-Covered basics for Skred — so it sees play in green midrange and ramp shells there too. Modern and Pioneer are locked out by the card's age relative to those formats' card pools.
