Child of Alara is a five-color, five-mana 6/6 that nukes every non-land permanent on the board when it dies — one of the cleanest reset buttons in Commander. The catch is that you have to let it die, which is trivially easy to engineer with Gift of Immortality and any sacrifice outlet, turning each death trigger into a repeatable wrath on demand.

Commander is where Child of Alara actually lives. It sits in the command zone as a five-color identity enabler, letting you run any combination of cards across all five colors while doubling as a recursive board wipe the moment you invest in a sacrifice package. In Legacy and Vintage it's technically legal but competes in formats where a five-mana 6/6 with a delayed symmetrical effect is far too slow to matter. Oathbreaker is the one other format where it sees occasional play as a signature-spell-adjacent threat, but the command zone advantage is the real reason anyone registers it.

Price data isn't available at the moment, so check Scryfall or TCGPlayer for current market rates on Child of Alara. Given that it's a casual-Commander staple with a narrow competitive profile, it tends to sit in a modest range — worth picking up if you're building a five-color shell, but not a card that commands a premium.
