Faith's Reward

Faith's Reward sees virtually all of its action in Commander, where board wipes are frequent enough that mass recursion at instant speed earns a slot rather than sitting in hand for three games. In Legacy and Vintage it's technically legal but competes with faster, cheaper interaction and doesn't fit the linear strategies those formats demand. Modern is the same story — four mana at sorcery-adjacent speed doesn't clear the bar when threats and answers resolve on turns two and three. If you're playing Faith's Reward, you're playing it in a 100-card singleton format where the value scales with the density of permanents hitting your graveyard in a single turn.
