Bioengineered Future puts a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control at the beginning of each upkeep — every upkeep, not just yours — which snowballs fast in a four-player game. The cost is six mana and an enchantment slot, but in any deck running Ashnod's Altar or helmed by Dyadrine, Synthesis Amalgam, the counter accumulation becomes a resource engine rather than just a clock.

Dyadrine, Synthesis Amalgam
Dyadrine, Synthesis Amalgam triggers off creatures with counters entering or being modified, so Bioengineered Future turns every upkeep around the table into a free Dyadrine activation — the engine essentially runs on opponents' turns as well as your own.

Bioengineered Future is legal across every major constructed format, but its home is Commander, where three opponents mean the enchantment triggers at least four times per full rotation. In 1v1 formats like Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer, a six-mana do-nothing-until-next-upkeep enchantment is too slow against decks that win by turn three or four. Oathbreaker sits between those poles — if your signature spell generates tokens or counters, the card pulls more weight, but the faster pace still makes it a fringe inclusion. Standard is the one constructed format where it could see occasional play in a dedicated counters shell, though six mana remains a steep ask without ramp support.
