Awakened Awareness lands as a permanent +X/+X buff that scales with however much mana you sink into it, making it a threat multiplier and a combo enabler in the same card. The cost is its sorcery speed and the absence of keyword upside — outside of counter-synergy shells like Sage of Hours, it's just a big dumb pump spell that doesn't replace itself.

Awakened Awareness is legal across Constructed formats but sees virtually no play outside Commander, where the abundance of mana, counter synergies, and extra-turn combos give it a real home. In Modern and Legacy the card is simply too slow and too narrow — a sorcery-speed aura with no protection attached doesn't survive long enough to matter in those formats. In Commander it earns its slot specifically in decks that care about +1/+1 counters or need a mana sink that doubles as a combo piece.
