Archaeomender enters the battlefield and immediately returns a land from your graveyard to your hand — real, unconditional value stapled to a body. The cost is a four-mana 2/3 with no evasion, which is acceptable when paired with flicker engines like Displacer Kitten but slow on its own.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

Commander is where Archaeomender actually belongs — flicker and blink strategies run it to chain land recursion off Conjurer's Closet or similar engines, and the body is just acceptable enough to survive a few turns in a multiplayer game. In Legacy and Vintage, it's strictly too slow; a four-mana 2/3 that gets back one land does nothing competitive formats can't handle with cheaper options. Pauper is the one other format where Archaeomender has a theoretical home, specifically in blink shells at common, though the competition for that slot is stiff.

Current price
$0.16 bulk tier
At $0.16, Archaeomender is pure bulk — grab a copy for essentially nothing if a flicker deck wants it. That price is stable by definition; bulk commons don't move unless a breakout combo pushes demand, and nothing on the horizon looks likely to do that here.
