Arcane Teachings puts three +1/+1 counters on a creature and grants it untap-on-spell ability, turning any tap-activated creature into a repeatable engine the moment you cast your next spell. The three-mana enchant cost is cheap enough, but Thornbite Staff does the same untap trick on a equipment that moves freely between creatures — Arcane Teachings is the budget alternative, not the upgrade.
