Monk Gyatso + Lightning Greaves + Sami, Wildcat Captain
3-card combo · RW
Verdict
Yes — this 3-card loop generates infinite ETB and LTB triggers by exploiting Lightning Greaves losing its target mid-activation.

Lightning Greaves targets a nontoken creature; Monk Gyatso triggers off that targeting and exiles the creature before the equip resolves, causing the ability to fizzle with no legal target. Sami, Wildcat Captain then lets the exiled creature be cast for free, resetting the loop. Red-white creature-based storm shells running Monk Gyatso as commander get the most from this — every iteration fires whatever enters-the-battlefield payoff the deck is built around.

due to Sami.
- Repeat.
03
Result
Infinite LTB; Infinite ETB; Infinite storm count
Variations
Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines
The loop needs at least two artifacts on board to satisfy Monk Gyatso's condition, so lean on artifact lands or cheap rocks like Sol Ring and Arcane Signet as insurance. Altar of the Brood, Impact Tremors, or Purphoros, God of the Forge close the game off infinite ETBs — without one of those, the loop generates triggers that go nowhere.
