Koll, the Forgemaster + Skirk Prospector + Lightning Greaves

3-card combo · RW

Verdict

Yes — this 3-card loop generates infinite storm count and infinite death triggers in any Boros shell that can assemble three cheap permanents.

Koll, the Forgemaster returns Skirk Prospector to hand every time it dies while equipped, and Lightning Greaves equips for free — so each sacrifice cycle costs one red, produces one red, and nets a death trigger, an ETB, and a storm count. The loop is self-sustaining at parity on mana, which means it runs indefinitely the moment all three pieces are on the battlefield. Boros artifact and equipment commanders — Jor Kadeen, the Prevailer, Akiri, Line-Slinger, or Koll himself in the command zone — slot this in naturally.

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

Swiftfoot Boots cannot replace Lightning Greaves here because the equip cost is one rather than zero, breaking the mana neutral loop. The combo produces no net mana and no direct damage on its own, so pair it with Reckless Fireweaver, Purphoros, God of the Forge, or Impact Tremors to convert infinite ETBs into a kill — without a damage outlet, the loop is noise.
