Lightning Greaves equips for 0, which triggers Monk Gyatso to exile the target creature; the equip fizzles when it loses its target, and Heartless Summoning's -2 cost reduction lets the exiled creature recast itself for free. The loop runs in white-black creature shells — Orzhov aristocrats, Athreos, God of Passage, or any commander that rewards repeated ETB and LTB triggers on every creature it runs.
Recipe

02
Steps
- Activate Lightning Greaves's equip ability by paying
, targeting another nontoken creature you control.
- Monk Gyatso triggers, airbending the targeted creature.
- The Lightning Greaves ability fizzles due to no longer having a legal target.
- Cast the creature from exile by paying
due to Heartless Summoning.
- Repeat.
03
Result
Infinite LTB; Infinite ETB; Infinite storm count
Variations
Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines
The loop requires a creature that costs exactly 2 after Heartless Summoning's discount, so two-cost targets like Plagued Rusalka or Zulaport Cutthroat do double duty as both engine fodder and kill condition. Gray Merchant of Asphodel is the natural closer if the creature pool is black-heavy — each recasted Gray Merchant drains for devotion. Cut Heartless Summoning from the list only if willing to replace it with another cost-reduction permanent that hits zero.
