Halsin, Emerald Archdruid animates the Treasure into a 4/4 Bear; Lightning Greaves equips to it for free, letting it tap immediately to cash itself in for a mana. Pitiless Plunderer replaces the dead Treasure with a new one, and the loop resets. The engine lives in Halsin-led midrange lists that already want token synergies and sacrifice outlets for Dictate of Erebos or Mayhem Devil effects.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

You control a Treasure token.

02

Steps

  1. Activate Halsin by paying {1}, causing a Treasure token to become a 4/4 Bear creature token in addition to its other types until end of turn.
  2. Activate Lightning Greaves' equip ability by paying {0}, attaching it to the Treasure Bear.
  3. Activate the Treasure Bear token by tapping and sacrificing it, adding {1}.
  4. The Treasure Bear dies, triggering Pitiless Plunderer, creating a Treasure token.
  5. Repeat.

03

Result

Infinite death triggers; Infinite LTB; Infinite sacrifice triggers

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

The loop produces no net mana and no direct kill — a payoff like Zulaport Cutthroat, Blood Artist, or Poison-Tip Archer has to be in play to convert infinite death triggers into a win. Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos are the most common closers in this color identity. If Lightning Greaves is unavailable, any free equip equipment replicates the haste grant, but Lightning Greaves is the only widely-played zero-cost option in green-black.
