Crimson Kobolds costs zero, so once Koll, the Forgemaster returns it to hand after a sacrifice, recasting it is free — the loop runs at no mana per iteration. Lightning Greaves handles both the equip and shroud angle: the zero equip cost means Crimson Kobolds is immediately protected and ready to sacrifice to Goblin Bombardment. Red-white aristocrats shells running Koll as commander assemble this fast, and the kill is built-in — Goblin Bombardment deals the damage directly.

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

Crimson Kobolds is one of three identical zero-mana 0/1 creatures alongside Crookshank Kobolds and Kobolds of Kher Keep — any of the three is a direct swap. Shields of Velis Vel or any equipment with zero equip cost can replace Lightning Greaves as long as Koll's trigger condition is met; alternatively, Puresteel Paladin with metalcraft active zeroes out equip costs across the board, freeing the Greaves slot entirely.
