Mystic Sanctuary's landfall trigger puts Ghostly Flicker back on top of the library each loop; Sol Ring and the Sanctuary itself fund the 2U cost, making the engine self-sustaining with exactly three Islands already in play. Magus of the Future sits above the library, feeding Ghostly Flicker directly to the cast step so the hand never needs to hold it. The whole thing runs on blue artifact-heavy lists — Urza, Lord High Artificer and Sai, Master Thopterist are natural homes.

Variations
Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines
Archaeomancer or Izzet Chronarch can replace Mystic Sanctuary's recursion role if the Island count is short, though both add a fifth piece. The loop produces no mana beyond what it consumes, so a free storm payoff is mandatory — Grapeshot closes immediately, and Aetherflux Reservoir kills the table after enough iterations; without a dedicated win condition already on board, the loop is just counting triggers.
