Future Sight lets Ghostly Flicker be cast off the top of the library; blinking Mystic Sanctuary puts it straight back there, and Sol Ring pays the {2}{U} each iteration. The loop asks for three additional Islands on the battlefield, which any mono-blue or blue-heavy list running Mystic Sanctuary as fetchable utility should satisfy by midgame.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

You control three additional Islands.

02

Steps

  1. Activate Mystic Sanctuary and Sol Ring by tapping them, adding {2}{U}.
  2. Cast Ghostly Flicker either from your hand or from the top of your library by paying {2}{U}, blinking Mystic Sanctuary and Sol Ring.
  3. When Mystic Sanctuary enters untapped, it triggers, putting Ghostly Flicker from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
  4. Repeat.

03

Result

Infinite landfall triggers; Infinite magecraft triggers; Infinite storm count

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

Frantic Search can substitute as the mana-neutral spell if Sol Ring is removed, provided the mana math still hits {2}{U} per loop. The engine produces no mana beyond what it spends, so a closer is mandatory — Thassa's Oracle wins on the spot once the library is exhausted, and Aria of Flame converts the magecraft triggers into lethal damage without needing a second pile of mana.
