Muldrotha, the Gravetide + Displacer Kitten + Sol Ring + Atog

4-card combo · UBRG

Verdict

Yes — this 4-card loop pumps Atog to an arbitrarily large size and generates infinite storm count by replaying Sol Ring through Muldrotha indefinitely.

Muldrotha, the Gravetide lets Sol Ring be cast once per turn from the graveyard as the artifact permanent type; sacrificing it to Atog triggers Displacer Kitten, which blinks Muldrotha and resets the once-per-turn restriction, letting the loop repeat. Every pass through adds two colorless from Sol Ring, sacrifices it for +2/+2 on Atog, and counts as a spell cast — the storm count climbs with each iteration. The combo slots into any Muldrotha reanimator shell that already runs Sol Ring and wants a built-in combat finisher.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

You have not cast an artifact spell using Muldrotha this turn.

02

Steps

  1. Activate Sol Ring by tapping it, adding {C}{C}.
  2. Activate Atog by sacrificing Sol Ring, giving Atog +2/+2 until end of turn.
  3. Cast Sol Ring from your graveyard by paying {1}.
  4. Displacer Kitten triggers, blinking Muldrotha.
  5. Repeat.

03

Result

Infinite ETB; Infinite LTB; Infinitely large creature until end of turn; Infinite storm count

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

Any 0- or 1-mana artifact that produces mana can replace Sol Ring as the sacrifice fodder — Mana Crypt does the same job for zero and accelerates assembly. Atog is the narrow piece here; Disciple of the Vault or Impact Tremors converts the infinite ETB and LTB triggers into a table kill if Atog swinging alone is blocked, and Aetherflux Reservoir closes on storm count without needing to get through combat.
