Verdict

Yes — this 4-card loop generates near-infinite storm count, black mana, and looting in any Dimir shell that runs all four pieces.

Displacer Kitten blinks Possessed Skaab on each noncreature cast; Possessed Skaab's ETB recurs whichever of Dark Ritual or Frantic Search just hit the graveyard, putting the other half of the engine back in hand. Dark Ritual floats the black to cast Frantic Search, Frantic Search untaps the lands to refund the loop and draws two cards each cycle — the table sees a hand that never empties and a storm count climbing every turn.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

You control up to three lands that can tap to produce at least {U}.

02

Steps

  1. Cast Dark Ritual by paying {B}.
  2. Displacer Kitten triggers, blinking Possessed Skaab.
  3. When Possessed Skaab enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Frantic Search from your graveyard to your hand.
  4. Resolve Dark Ritual, adding {B}{B}{B}.
  5. Activate up to three lands by tapping them, adding at least {U}.
  6. Cast Frantic Search by paying {2}{B}.
  7. Displacer Kitten triggers, blinking Possessed Skaab.
  8. When Possessed Skaab enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Dark Ritual from your graveyard to your hand.
  9. Resolve Frantic Search, causing you to loot twice and untap up to three lands.
  10. Repeat.

03

Result

Infinite self-discard triggers; Near-infinite ETB; Infinite draw triggers; Infinite looting; Near-infinite storm count; Near-infinite LTB; Near-infinite mana lands you control can produce; Near-infinite magecraft triggers; Near-infinite black mana; Near-infinite untap of lands you control

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

The loop leans hard on Possessed Skaab surviving to blink; Siren of the Tides or Archaeomancer can sub in as the recursion body, though neither returns both halves as cleanly. Aetherflux Reservoir or Thassa's Oracle are the natural closers — the engine mills the library and inflates storm count, but the kill still needs a dedicated sink to close the game.
