Karn's Bastion proliferates each activation, stacking counters on both Lost Jitte and Cryptic Trilobite; Lost Jitte then untaps Karn's Bastion by spending a charge counter, and Cryptic Trilobite converts the surplus +1/+1 counters into the four colorless needed to loop. Solid Ground keeps Cryptic Trilobite alive through toughness-reduction effects that would otherwise collapse the engine mid-loop. This is a counter-doubling shell — Atraxa, Praetors' Voice and Lathril, Blade of the Elves are the natural homes.

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines
The loop requires all four pieces and is unusually sensitive to removal: answer Cryptic Trilobite or Lost Jitte at instant speed and the chain dies immediately. Inexorable Tide or Contagion Engine offer slower but more resilient proliferate in the same shell if the combo is disrupted. Once infinite proliferate is live, any permanent with a counter already on it — Planeswalkers, creatures with age counters, Hydras — becomes a kill condition without additional setup.
