Verdict

Yes — this 4-card loop draws the entire deck for zero mana once assembled, making it one of the more efficient Boros engines available.

Auriok Steelshaper reduces Skullclamp's equip cost to zero on Crookshank Kobolds, so equipping kills the 0/1 immediately and draws two cards — Koll, the Forgemaster then returns the Kobolds to hand for free recasting. The whole loop costs nothing but storm count, which means any Boros equipment commander running Koll as a support piece can win at instant speed with two mana floating and a full grip incoming.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

02

Steps

  1. Equip Skullclamp to Crookshank Kobolds for {0}.
  2. Crookshank Kobolds dies.
  3. Skullclamp triggers, drawing you 2 cards.
  4. Koll triggers, returning Crookshank Kobolds to your hand.
  5. Cast Crookshank Kobolds.
  6. Repeat.

03

Result

Infinite card draw; Near-infinite death triggers; Near-infinite ETB; Near-infinite LTB; Near-infinite storm count

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

Ornithopter or Shield Sphere can substitute for Crookshank Kobolds as any 0/1 or 0/2 creature that costs zero and dies to Skullclamp; Crookshank Kobolds is simply the cleanest zero-mana option. Once the library is drawn, close with Aetherflux Reservoir off the storm count or Grapeshot if the deck splashes for it — the draw engine itself doesn't kill.
