One with the Kami + Lightning Greaves + Ashnod's Altar

3-card combo · G

Verdict

Yes — this 3-card loop generates infinite colorless mana and infinite death triggers as long as the creature wearing One with the Kami has power greater than zero.

Ashnod's Altar sacrifices the Lightning Greaves host for two colorless, and One with the Kami immediately replaces it with a Spirit token count equal to that creature's power — one token is all that's needed to reequip the Greaves for free and loop again. The combo slots naturally into green creature-heavy shells where One with the Kami already pulls its weight as a token payoff, and the two equipment pieces are generic enough that most artifact-friendly lists run them anyway.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

One with the Kami attached to any creature you control. Lightning Greaves attached to any creature you control except the creature with One with the Kami attached.

02

Steps

  1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the creature with Lightning Greaves attached, adding {C}{C}.
  2. One with the Kami triggers, creating a number of 1/1 Spirit creature tokens equal to that creature's power.
  3. Activate Lightning Greaves's equip ability by paying {0}, attaching it to a Spirit token.
  4. Repeat.

03

Result

Infinite colorless mana; Infinite death triggers; Infinite ETB; Infinite LTB; Infinite sacrifice triggers

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

Skullclamp can replace Lightning Greaves if the Spirit tokens enter at 1/1 — equip for one and sacrifice to draw two, though that line costs mana each iteration rather than zero. Walking Ballista or Goblin Bombardment converts infinite colorless and infinite death triggers into a kill; without a sink already on board, the loop produces nothing lethal on its own.
