Cadric, Soul Kindler copies Aminatou, the Fateshifter on entry; the token Aminatou blinks the original, which re-enters and generates another Cadric trigger to repeat the loop. Sol Ring fuels the 1 mana Cadric taxes each iteration, and once any other mana rock or land is in play the engine overproduces — every ETB and LTB trigger in the deck fires infinitely. Superfriends builds and Esper-heavy blink shells are the natural homes, since both commanders slot naturally into those lists.

Recipe

How it works

01

Prerequisites

Once you have infinite mana, you can blink other permanent(s) instead. If those permanents are legendary, you can copy them via Cadric.

02

Steps

  1. Cast Aminatou by paying {W}{U}{B}.
  2. When Aminatou enters the battlefield, Cadric triggers.
  3. Holding priority, activate Sol Ring by tapping it, adding {C}{C}.
  4. Resolve the Cadric trigger, causing you to pay {1} to create a token copy of Aminatou.
  5. Activate Aminatou's second loyalty ability by removing a loyalty counter from it, blinking Sol Ring.
  6. Activate the token Aminatou's second loyalty ability by removing a loyalty counter from it, blinking the nontoken Aminatou.
  7. Repeat from step 2.

03

Result

Infinite LTB; Infinite ETB; Infinite colorless mana; Infinite landfall triggers; Infinite blinking of permanents; Infinite mana permanents you control that enter the battlefield untapped can produce; Infinite copies of legendary permanents you own in play until end of turn; Infinite mana lands you control can produce

Variations

Cheaper, tighter, alternate lines

Sol Ring is the cheapest mana source that keeps the loop self-sustaining, but any nonland permanent that enters untapped and produces at least 1 mana serves the same role once infinite mana is established. The results list infinite copies of legendary permanents you own, so any legendary creature or planeswalker already on the battlefield becomes an infinite army — Thassa's Oracle or a damage-dealing legend closes it without additional combo pieces.
