Zealot's Conviction card art
Zealot's Conviction gives a creature +2/+0 and first strike until end of turn — or you can cycle it for one white mana if the board state doesn't call for combat tricks. It's a narrow combat spell in a format that rarely rewards that slot, and the cycling clause is the only reason it sees any play at all.

In Commander, Zealot's Conviction is a fringe include in cycling-matters builds led by commanders like Gavi, Nest Warden or Shorikai, Genesis Engine, where the cycle trigger matters more than the spell's face effect. In Pauper, it competes with a deep pool of efficient white combat tricks and rarely makes the cut outside of dedicated cycling shells. Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer have no real home for it — formats that fast have better pump spells and better cyclers. Oathbreaker follows the same logic as Commander: only worth it if your signature spell or planeswalker rewards cycling specifically.

Price Context

Current price

$0.09 bulk tier

At $0.09, Zealot's Conviction is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not card quality. That price will hold flat indefinitely; there's no spike vector for a conditional combat trick with a minor upside.
