Yawgmoth's Agenda gives you a second graveyard — you can cast spells from it every turn, and the no-duplicate-casts restriction is nearly invisible in Commander's singleton format. Five mana is a real ask, but the payoff is a repeatable, permanent advantage engine that doesn't need any other pieces to function.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Yawgmoth's Agenda is at its best — singleton construction means the no-duplicate restriction is almost never a drawback, and a five-mana enchantment that survives to the next turn has already earned its slot. In Legacy and Vintage, the card is legal but has never found a home; the restriction punishes redundant spell suites and five mana is an eternity in those formats. Yawgmoth's Agenda is, practically speaking, a Commander card that happens to be legal elsewhere.

Price Context
Current price
$0.54 bulk tier
At $0.54, Yawgmoth's Agenda is bulk — low enough that there's no financial reason to hesitate. The price reflects niche demand rather than power level, and it's unlikely to spike without a high-profile reprint or breakout deck putting it in the spotlight.
