In Commander, World-Weary is at its best in token and weenie strategies that flood the board with 1/1s and 2/2s, where it functions as a one-sided wrath that leaves your board intact while clearing every blocker or threat your opponents developed. The instant speed is the real premium — holding up two mana at the end of an opponent's turn and nuking their Etali or Blightsteel is the kind of tempo swing that wins games. In Pauper, the common-legal status matters, and the effect is strong enough to see fringe play in token mirrors or against stompy. Legacy and Vintage are too fast and too resilient for a conditional sweeper to register, but the card is technically legal. Oathbreaker shares enough of Commander's multiplayer dynamic that the same token-friendly read applies.
