Wicked Visitor puts a draining enchantment on every opponent's upkeep — three life a turn across a table of four — for three mana with a 2/3 body attached. Lynde, Cheerful Tormentor turns that stream of Curses into a recursive engine, but even outside that home, the raw rate is good enough to run on its own.

Ghen, Arcanum Weaver sacrifices enchantments to reanimate others, and Wicked Visitor's Curses are cheap fodder — sacrifice one to pull back a bigger enchantment without losing much value since the Visitor will print another next upkeep anyway.

Commander is the only format where Wicked Visitor is genuinely strong — three opponents means three Curses per turn cycle, and the life drain compounds fast enough to be a real clock. In 1v1 formats like Modern or Pioneer, the Curse triggers once per turn and a 2/3 for three mana with a slow drain attached is too low-impact to compete. Pauper is the one non-Commander format worth a glance, where redundant life-drain pieces can anchor a dedicated Curse shell, but Wicked Visitor hasn't broken through there. Legacy and Vintage won't look twice at it.
