Weird Harvest card art
Weird Harvest tutors any number of creatures directly into opponents' hands as well as yours — the symmetry is the cost, and in Commander it's usually a dealbreaker unless your deck wins immediately afterward. In a shell built around Atemsis, All-Seeing, where you need six specific cards with different mana values in hand to close the game, that symmetry becomes irrelevant because you're going out on the same turn you cast it.

Weird Harvest is a Commander card almost exclusively — the symmetry that makes it unplayable in 1v1 formats becomes manageable in a pod where you only need to outrace one opponent at a time, and most decks running it treat the tutor as a same-turn kill setup rather than a value play. In Legacy and Vintage it's legal but entirely outclassed by Green Sun's Zenith, Survival of the Fittest, and Worldly Tutor, none of which hand your opponent anything. Modern sees no play for the same reason. Oathbreaker is the one other format where Weird Harvest occasionally surfaces, since the tighter pod size and faster game pace reward instant-win tutors over incremental advantage.

Price Context

Current price

$2.81 cheap tier

At $2.81, Weird Harvest sits at the cheap end of the tutoring spectrum — fair for a card with a narrow but specific use case. The price is stable: it's not trending up because demand is low, and it's not dropping because the niche it fills has no real substitute at any price.
