War Priest of Thune destroys an enchantment on entry — no extra mana, no hoops — and leaves a 2/2 body behind. Two mana for a removal spell stapled to a creature is a real rate, and any deck that blinks or recurs creatures gets to cash that trigger repeatedly.

In Commander, War Priest of Thune earns its slot in white blink and flicker decks where the enters-the-battlefield trigger fires more than once, turning a one-shot answer into a recurring enchantment hoser. Outside of those shells it's a reasonable inclusion in any white deck that wants incidental enchantment removal without spending a dedicated spell slot. In Legacy and Vintage the competition is too stiff — Disenchant and Seal of Cleansing cost one mana, and War Priest of Thune's body doesn't compensate at those speeds. Modern sideboards have better options too, so this is firmly a Commander and casual card.
