Walking Wall is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, and banned from the more modern formats entirely by legality cutoffs rather than power concerns. In Commander it occupies a narrow lane — artifact-matters shells led by commanders like Memnarch or Sydri, Galvanic Genius can extract value from its artifact typing, and Arcum Dagsson lists that need cheap artifact bodies to sacrifice will occasionally slot it. Outside of those specific homes, Walking Wall is outclassed by nearly every other defensive artifact available. Legacy and Vintage have no interest in it; the formats move too fast for a three-mana wall with a costly activation.
