Walking Sarcophagus untaps all creatures you control at the beginning of each opponent's turn — a repeatable untap engine stapled to a 3/3 artifact body for five mana. In untap-matters builds, particularly around Samut, the Driving Force, that effect is worth the price of admission on its own.

Samut, the Driving Force
Samut, the Driving Force turns every untap trigger into a threat, and Walking Sarcophagus fires on each opponent's upkeep — meaning in a four-player pod you're untapping your board three extra times per round before Samut even activates.

Walking Sarcophagus is a Commander card through and through — its value scales with the number of opponents, and the extra untap steps each player's turn provides compound into a massive tempo edge over a long game. In 1v1 formats like Legacy or Modern it's a five-mana 3/3 that untaps once per round, which is nowhere near efficient enough to see play. Pauper is its only other realistic home, and even there the cost-to-impact ratio is too steep for competitive lists. Stick to Commander, and specifically to decks that convert untaps into mana, attacks, or activated abilities.

Price Context
Current price
$0.06 bulk tier
Walking Sarcophagus sits at $0.06 — deep bulk, the kind of card you pull from a dollar box rather than order. At that price there's no financial case to make; you run it because the effect fits, not because it'll appreciate.
