Voidwielder bounces a creature and replaces itself — the effect is real, but five mana for a 2/3 that does one targeted bounce is a steep ask in any powered environment. Outside of Dream Halls or cost-reduction shells where the body is essentially free, cheaper options almost always do this job better.

Voidwielder is essentially a Commander card — the format's slower clock and multiplayer threat density make a 2/3 that cantrips and bounces a creature passable filler in budget Wizard or bounce-matters builds. In Pauper it's legal but too expensive for a format defined by two- and three-mana efficiency. Legacy, Vintage, Modern, and Pioneer all have access to cheaper, more impactful interaction, so Voidwielder never sees competitive play there. Stick to Commander if you're running it, and even then only until you find an upgrade.
