Viridian Harvest enchants one of your artifacts and returns it to your hand when that artifact leaves play — a one-mana Aura that replaces itself only if the artifact dies, bounces, or gets exiled. The payoff is too conditional and too slow; one mana is cheap, but spending a card to maybe draw a card is not a ramp strategy.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Viridian Harvest is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Vintage, Pauper, and Oathbreaker, but competitive play in any of those formats has no use for it. In Commander, the format where artifact synergies are most relevant, Viridian Harvest competes against unconditional draw and actual recursion engines — it loses that fight badly. Pauper is the one format where commons get real scrutiny, and even there the effect is too narrow to see play. The card exists in a legal vacuum: technically available everywhere, worth running nowhere.

Price Context
Current price
$0.09 bulk tier
At $0.09, Viridian Harvest is deep bulk — the price of a card nobody wants. That floor holds because demand is essentially zero; don't expect it to move.
