Ventifact Bottle card art
Ventifact Bottle lets you bank mana across turns, converting unused resources into a burst of colorless mana whenever you need it most. The activation cost is real — you're spending mana now to charge it, then tapping it to spend again later — but in Mairsil, the Pretender builds that cage interaction turns the bottle into a repeatable mana engine that ignores the once-per-turn limit.

Ventifact Bottle is a Commander card through and through — the slower, multiplayer pace gives you the turns needed to stack charges and deploy them meaningfully. In Legacy and Vintage it's legal but irrelevant; those formats move too fast for a three-mana artifact that asks you to invest over multiple turns before it pays off. Oathbreaker shares enough of Commander's pace that the Bottle is at least functional there, though the smaller starting hand size and lower life totals compress the window. The card's entire value proposition is the long game.

Price Context

Current price

$1.54 cheap tier

At $1.54, Ventifact Bottle sits in the bulk-rare tier — cheap enough to grab without a second thought. Demand is narrow enough that the price is unlikely to spike outside a sudden surge in Mairsil, the Pretender popularity, so it holds value mainly as a low-risk pickup rather than a stable commodity.
