Vault Skyward gives a creature flying until end of turn for one blue mana — a cantrip trick that replaces itself and enables evasion on demand. It's narrow enough that only decks specifically rewarding instants, spell count, or +1/+1 counters will want it.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

In Commander, Vault Skyward earns a slot only in decks that care about casting spells — Prowess triggers, Magecraft payoffs, or commanders like Rafiq of the Many that need one creature to connect unblocked. In Pauper it sees fringe use in Delver and tempo shells where cantripping at instant speed matters more than the effect itself. Legacy and Vintage have better cantrips at every price point, so Vault Skyward doesn't compete there. Outside of spell-count synergies, it's too situational to run in a fair deck.

At $0.10, Vault Skyward is deep bulk — easy to pick up in any commons bin. Price stability is a non-issue; it's not a card that spikes.
