Unity of Purpose untaps all your creatures with a given counter type and draws a card for each — at instant speed, on the cheap. It's a must-include in any counter-synergy Commander deck that can fill a board with +1/+1 counters or similar.

Unity of Purpose is built for Commander, where a wide board of countered creatures — common in Atraxa, Ezuri, or +1/+1 synergy shells — turns it into a multi-card draw spell stapled to a pseudo-Vitalize. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer it's legal but barely relevant; those formats move too fast for a setup-dependent instant that needs a critical mass of counters already on the battlefield. Vintage has the raw power to abuse untap effects, but Unity of Purpose asks too much of the board state to compete with the format's more efficient engines. Oathbreaker is the one non-Commander 60-card-ish format where a counter-centric signature spell shell could unlock it, but the windows are narrow.
