Turf War
Enchantment
When this enchantment enters, for each player, put a contested counter on target land that player controls.
Whenever a creature deals combat damage to a player, if that player controls one or more lands with contested counters on them, that creature's controller gains control of one of those lands of their choice and untaps it.

Turf War hands you a land every time combat damage hits a player, snowballing board presence across a multiplayer table without spending a card to do it. The triple-green pip is a real cost, but any green deck that wants extra lands in play gets full value here.

Turf War is a Commander card through and through — the triggered ability scales with the number of players taking combat damage, which means a four-player table can net you multiple land drops in a single turn cycle. In Legacy and Vintage it's technically legal but has no competitive home; three green mana for an enchantment that requires combat to function is nowhere near those formats' efficiency bar. Oathbreaker is the one other format where Turf War can shine, particularly in aggressive green builds that are already pressuring life totals.

$0.18 bulk tier
At $0.18, Turf War is pure bulk — easy to pick up in trade binders or dirt-cheap online. Bulk rares with narrow applications tend to stay at this floor, so don't expect movement unless a high-profile Commander deck pushes demand.
