Traveler's Cloak card art
Traveler's Cloak gives a creature landwalk and draws you a card for three mana — the cantrip masks the cost, but a three-mana aura that dies to any removal is still a liability. Run it only when the landwalk is reliably unblockable in your meta, or when the commander it enables wins the game on contact.

In Commander, Traveler's Cloak is a niche role-player — it belongs in decks that win through commander damage and need repeatable evasion, since landwalk is difficult for opponents to answer outside of basic land denial. Pauper is the format where it has the most legitimate history, as the card pool there is thin enough that cantripping auras with meaningful keywords see real play. Legacy and Vintage are legal but ignore it entirely — the effect is too slow and too fragile for those formats' threat density. Oathbreaker mirrors Commander's calculus: worth considering on a signature spell slot only if the planeswalker gameplan runs through combat.

Price Context

Current price

$0.14 bulk tier

At $0.14, Traveler's Cloak is pure bulk — there is no meaningful price floor to fall through. It holds that value only because casual and Pauper demand keeps a slow trickle of copies moving; don't expect it to move in either direction.
