Three Tree Mascot enters as a 1/1 that immediately taps to generate a Treasure, which is exactly the trigger Magda, Brazen Outlaw needs to start counting toward five dwarves. The five-mana cost is steep for what is ultimately a utility creature, but in the right artifact-and-dwarf shell the value is front-loaded the moment it hits the battlefield.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy

Magda, Brazen Outlaw
Three Tree Mascot is a near-automatic include in Magda, Brazen Outlaw decks because it enters tapped, taps for a Treasure, and counts as a dwarf — hitting two of the three things Magda wants in a single card.

Muerra, Trash Tactician
Muerra, Trash Tactician cares about artifacts entering and leaving play, and Three Tree Mascot's Treasure production feeds that loop while also serving as sacrifice fodder.

Mabel, Heir to Cragflame
Mabel, Heir to Cragflame rewards equipment and artifact synergies, and Three Tree Mascot slots in as a reliable Treasure generator that keeps the mana engine moving on curve.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

Three Tree Mascot is legal across every major format but sees meaningful play almost exclusively in Commander, where the Magda, Brazen Outlaw engine is a genuine tier-two strategy and every dwarf that generates Treasures pulls real weight. In Modern and Pioneer the five-mana investment for a 1/1 that makes one Treasure is simply too slow — dedicated Treasure and artifact strategies have cheaper, more explosive options. Pauper is the one other format worth watching, since bulk commons that generate artifacts on entry can occasionally find a home in synergy shells, but Three Tree Mascot hasn't broken through there yet. Treat it as a Commander card with incidental broad legality.

$0.10 bulk tier
At $0.10, Three Tree Mascot is deep bulk — you're picking it up in a bargain bin or throwing it in a trade to hit even numbers. Bulk commons tied to a single popular Commander archetype tend to stay at this floor unless the strategy spikes into the mainstream, so don't expect movement.
