Temur Battlecrier card art
Temur Battlecrier pumps your whole attacking team and grants trample to creatures with power 4 or greater — the effect is immediate and wide the turn it lands. It's a staple in Eshki, Temur's Roar builds and earns its slot in any Temur stompy shell running Ashling, the Limitless or similar oversized threats.

01
Eshki, Temur's Roar

Eshki, Temur's Roar

82.7% of decks · synergy 0.63

Eshki, Temur's Roar is the natural home — Temur Battlecrier's trample grant and attack bonus stack directly with the big-power creatures Eshki rewards, and 83% of Eshki decks run it for exactly that reason.

02
Eshki Dragonclaw

Eshki Dragonclaw

62.2% of decks · synergy 0.43

Eshki Dragonclaw cares about having high-power creatures in combat, and Temur Battlecrier turns those threats into tramplers while buffing the whole board on the swing.

03
Ureni of the Unwritten

Ureni of the Unwritten

44.7% of decks · synergy 0.25

Ureni of the Unwritten floods the board with large creatures quickly, and Temur Battlecrier converts that critical mass into a lethal trample attack in short order.

04
Surrak Dragonclaw

Surrak Dragonclaw

41.8% of decks · synergy 0.22

Surrak Dragonclaw already grants creatures the ability to crash through, and Temur Battlecrier layers on a global power boost that makes each combat step more threatening.

05
Ashling, the Limitless

Ashling, the Limitless

23.8% of decks · synergy 0.21

Ashling, the Limitless grows to enormous power on her own, and Temur Battlecrier ensures she and every other attacker punch through blockers rather than getting chump-blocked to death.

Format Analysis

Temur Battlecrier is legal across every major constructed format but is strictly a Commander card in practice. In Commander, the effect scales perfectly — the more large creatures your deck produces, the more combat steps it warps, and in a 40-life format those trample-boosted swings close games fast. In Modern or Pioneer, a three-mana creature that does nothing until combat is too slow and too fragile against interaction-heavy fields. Standard and Legacy are similarly unrealistic homes; the effect is too parasitic on a wide board of big creatures to justify the slot in any competitive 60-card context.
