Tempt with Reflections puts a copy of your best creature on the board for four mana, then punishes every opponent who takes the deal by giving you another copy for each one who does. In Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer or Círdan the Shipwright, one greedy table is all it takes to go from one threat to four.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy

Círdan the Shipwright
Círdan the Shipwright builds toward an ever-growing fleet of token copies, and Tempt with Reflections is one of the most efficient ways to multiply a single powerful ship token into a swarm — especially when opponents can't resist copying a Wurm or Elder themselves.

Hidetsugu and Kairi
Hidetsugu and Kairi wants the commander on the battlefield as many times as possible, and Tempt with Reflections can clone the dragon at instant-relevant timing while baiting opponents into handing you free copies that each trigger the death-and-cascade effect independently.

Tempt with Reflections is a Commander card through and through — the multiplayer politics that make its rider punishing are absent in one-on-one formats, and it's not legal in Modern, Pioneer, or Standard anyway. In Legacy and Vintage, where it is technically legal, there's no competitive home for a four-mana sorcery that relies on opponent cooperation. Commander is where it earns every slot: the tempt mechanic scales with table size, opponents routinely take the bait on a Wurmcoil Engine or Blightsteel Colossus copy, and a single greedy table can turn Tempt with Reflections into a three-for-one before you untap.

$2.15 cheap tier
At $2.15, Tempt with Reflections sits in the impulse-buy tier — cheap enough to slot in without deliberation, priced about right for a casual-Commander staple with no competitive demand keeping the floor high. It's unlikely to spike, but equally unlikely to crater further given steady inclusion in token and clone strategies.
