In Modern and Pioneer, Tameshi sees fringe play in dedicated combo shells built around bouncing cheap artifacts and enchantments for value, but the setup cost and lack of immediate impact make it a build-around rather than a staple. Legacy and Vintage have more efficient recursion available at lower mana costs, so Tameshi rarely competes there outside of niche brewers.
