Switcheroo trades two creatures you own for one creature your opponent controls — at six mana, it had better be stealing something backbreaking, and against the right target it absolutely is. The sweet spot is pairing it with creatures you want to give away, like Archfiend of the Dross, or using it under Gor Muldrak, Amphinologist to offload Salamander tokens you're forced to create anyway.

Gor Muldrak, Amphinologist
Gor Muldrak, Amphinologist forces everyone at the table to create Salamander Warrior tokens, then punishes players who have more creatures than their opponents — Switcheroo converts those unwanted tokens into whatever threat you most need to steal, turning the commander's mandatory downside into card advantage.

Switcheroo is a Commander card through and through — six mana does nothing in Legacy, Modern, or Pioneer, where the game is often decided before you untap with it, and competitive decks will never touch it. In Commander, the multiplayer board state changes the math: you almost always have a creature worth offloading, opponents almost always have a target worth taking, and the political angle of choosing who gets hit adds genuine decision points. It fits most naturally in decks that generate expendable tokens or run creatures with punishing leaves-the-battlefield triggers, where the two-for-one cost becomes a built-in upside rather than a tax.

$0.15 bulk tier
At $0.15, Switcheroo is deep bulk — you're unlikely to pay more than a quarter for it in any store or trade binder. Bulk rares at this price point rarely climb without a combo breakout, and nothing on the horizon suggests Switcheroo is due for one.
