Sudden Disappearance exiles every nonland permanent an opponent controls until your next end step — a full-board wipe of one player's threats that sets up an unblocked alpha strike or a combo turn with zero resistance. Six mana is the real cost, and the effect is temporary, so it wins the game or it wastes a turn.

Sudden Disappearance is a Commander card through and through — the temporary mass exile of one player's permanents is built for the moment you need to punch through a table or protect a combo turn, and multiplayer politics make single-target hate spells like this more acceptable than in 1v1. In Legacy and Vintage it's legal but unplayable; six mana is an eternity in those formats, and effects this slow don't compete with the threats and counters those formats operate around. Modern has the same problem: the format's speed makes a six-mana sorcery that doesn't end the game on the spot unviable. Commander is the only real home, and even there it earns its slot only in aggressive or combo shells that can close immediately after casting it.
