Structural Assault kills every artifact creature and artifact land on the board for four mana — in the right meta, that's a one-sided wrath. It earns a slot when your opponents are leaning on Darksteel Citadel, Esper artifacts, or Breya piles; it's a dead card against creature-heavy pods with no artifact presence.

Commander is where Structural Assault has its entire case: artifact-heavy decks are endemic to the format, and a four-mana sorcery that wipes Construct tokens, mana rocks that became creatures, and artifact lands is the kind of role-player that wins games out of nowhere. Outside Commander, the card has no real home — artifact creature counts in competitive Modern and Legacy lists are rarely dense enough to justify a four-mana sorcery over more surgical removal or faster hate pieces. Pioneer has artifact synergy decks but again, the density threshold Structural Assault needs to be worth four mana almost never shows up in non-rotating 60-card environments.

Price Context
Current price
$0.28 bulk tier
At $0.28, Structural Assault is pure bulk — grab a copy without thinking about it. Bulk rares with narrow conditions rarely climb unless a new commander pushes them into widespread demand, so don't expect the price to move.
